Programme
The 17th European Bioplastics Conference will take place on 6/7 December 2022, at the Maritim proArte Hotel Berlin, Germany!
Download the conference agenda here!
The 2022 edition of the leading business and networking event for the bioplastics industry in Europe will showcase just how biopolymers are driving innovations forward for more sustainability, resource efficiency, and functionality. We will dive into a wide range of important areas in this years’ sessions:
- Bioplastics and EU Policy – Bio-based and compostable plastics in a circular bioeconomy
- Best practices in food waste collection
- New directions in bioplastics
- Global perspective on standardization
- End of life: benefits of bio-based and compostable plastics
- Innovative applications towards sustainability
- Recent advances in bioplastics packaging
- Bio-based Building Blocks: New developments
This year’s policy session will be opened with a keynote by Christian Holzleitner, Head of Unit responsible for land economy and carbon removals at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action. He will highlight the importance of sustainable carbon cycles, with a special focus on the role of bioplastics.
On 7 December, two keynote speeches from Ramani Narayan (MSU) and Matejka Turel (ECHO) will open our second conference day. Ramani Narayan will give insights into the role of biodegradable, compostable, and bio-based plastics in national and international waste legislation. Matejka Turel will compare bioplastic biodegradation in compost and water sediment.
The hybrid format of this year’s event will allow you to either join in person at the Maritim proArte Hotel Berlin, offering fantastic networking opportunities, or comfortably log-in from your home base. Secure your delegate pass today and be part of the leading conference of the international bioplastics community.
Another highlight of the EUBP Conference is the exhibition, which is dedicated exclusively to bioplastics. It’s the ideal platform for your company to demonstrate your products and services, increase brand awareness, build new business relationships, and gain instant market feedback. In our additional virtual exhibition, you will be able to showcase your company through digital content and connect with our online attendees. If you, too, would like to present your organisation in the exhibition, secure your booth here.
We look forward to welcoming you in Berlin or online!
