Members Meeting on 22 June 2021 - Invitation and Documents

Dear Members,

We cordially invite you to participate in our Members Meeting. As indicated in our email from 29 March 2021, the meeting will be virtual, again.

Please find enclosed the agenda (enclosure 1) of the General Assembly as well as the Financial Report 2020 (Balance Sheet and Income Sheet, enclosure 2). Those, together with the Annual Report 2020, to which a download link will be provided, will be presented and explained during the meeting. Enclosed are also the minutes of the last Members Meeting (enclosure 3). We apologise for the delay.

The Product Groups Bio-based will meet on 29 June 2021 and the Product Group Biodegradables will meet on 30 June 2021 respectively. Detailed information will be provided to you in a separate mailings.

On another note: the current Board has been elected in December 2019. Under normal circumstances, the mid-year Members Meeting includes a Board election once every 2 years. The current travel restriction in place due to the still on-going corona situation and other preventive measures will make it challenging to have candidates that want to run for a Board position to present themselves correctly, or to have the actual election. Most important, the current travel restrictions will make it challenging for any newly elected Board to monitor, provide direction, and be actively engaged in the numerous but highly critical regulatory dossiers currently active in Brussels. For this reason, the Board proposes to have the next board elections in the spring of 2022. We will put this topic on the agenda for approval by the members.

In case you are not able to participate, we kindly suggest transferring your voting right to a member of your trust surely to attend the meeting. Please note, to be valid, vote transfers must be brought to our attention in written form. The online voting procedure will be outlined at the beginning of the meeting.
