EBC26 - Calling Innovators & Start-Ups: Apply for the Innovation Award 2026

Dear Sir or Madam, 

Following a successful first edition, European Bioplastics is pleased to open applications for the European Bioplastics Innovation Award 2026.

The award recognises outstanding innovations that are advancing the bioplastics sector and contributing to a more sustainable and circular economy. We invite companies, start-ups, research institutes, universities, and innovators from across the bioplastics value chain to submit their most promising solutions.

Award Focus

Applications may relate to one or more of the following areas:

• Start-up Innovation & Emerging Concepts
• Material Innovation
• Product Design & Application
• Sustainability & Circularity
• Scale-Up & Market Readiness

Road to EBC26

A jury of experts will select five finalists, who will be featured in the new European Bioplastics Innovation Spotlight Series – Road to EBC26.

From September to November 2026, finalists will have the opportunity to present their innovations in dedicated online showcase events before taking the stage at the European Bioplastics Conference (EBC26) on 1–2 December 2026 in Berlin, where the winner will be selected through a live audience vote.
