Collaboration with EUCAR

European Bioplastics has recently been in contact with EUCAR, the European Council for Automotive R&D, regarding a project that they intend to launch soon.

EUCAR is the scientific body behind ACEA. The project aims at evaluating the need for bioplastics in the car industry and interest from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

European Bioplastics has been invited to participate to the pilot committee and, as such, will take part in a first meeting with EUCAR members from the Expert Group Circular Economy on 8 April. During this meeting, we will introduce the association and its members and there will be an open discussion about Technology Readiness Levels, scaling-up and automotive applications, with OEM representatives. 

In order to continue this fruitful collaboration we started with EUCAR, and debrief you about said meeting, we would like to create a Task Force with the interested members of European Bioplastics to brainstorm on how to best proceed for the next steps.

A first meeting will be organized in the second half of April to kick-off this TF.
