European Open Day: request for bio-based product samples

Dear Members,

On the occasion of the EU Open Days, taking place on the 9 May 2022 in Brussels, we were approached by the European Commission (DG GROW), which asked for the provision of samples of bio-based plastic products. The samples, which should be products of daily life, will be used for the Commission’s stand on bio-based plastics at the “Sustainable Plastics in Daily Life” exhibition.

The purpose of the Open Days is to allow the general public to familiarise with EU policies. In particular, DG GROW is looking for product samples that can later be used as give-aways/prizes in a visitors game.

Should you want to contribute and send your samples of bio-based plastic, please reach out to the EUBP staff via info@european-bioplastics.org by 6 April 2022 COB latest. We have to prepare a product overview first which has to be approved by the Commission before sending the samples. Deadline for the arrival of the products in Brussels is 25 April.

In the spirit of EUBP’s engagement with the EU Commission, we would like to seize this opportunity and collaborate with DG GROW on the exhibition.
