Invitation: Join us as a speaker in the EUBP Talk Series 2026 on Novel Applications of Bioplastics beyond Packaging
Dear Members, We are pleased to invite you to contribute as a speaker to the EUBP Talk Series 2026, a monthly talk running from March until June 2026.
The overarching theme of the 2026 EUBP Talk Series is: Novel Applications of Bioplastics (beyond Packaging) The objective of the series is to explore innovative and emerging applications of bioplastics across different sectors and to foster exchange between science and industry. Proposed application areas Each talk will focus on one application area. The current proposed application areas list includes: Format Online event (Microsoft Teams), 60 minutes Two presentations per session (likely one scientific/bioplastic supply and one industry or market requirement speaker) Followed by a joint Q&A
Please note that presentations will be recorded and made available after the event, while the Q&A session will not be recorded to allow for an open and interactive discussion. Call for speakers We would be very pleased to receive expressions of interest from EUBP members who would like to present as part of this series. If you are interested in speaking, please send us: - The application area you would like to cover (from the list above),
- Whether you would be from the scientific/bioplastic supply side or the industry/market requirement side, and
- A short abstract (approximately 500 words) outlining the content of your proposed presentation.
Presentations should focus on applications, use cases, materials, products, market needs or developments to bioplastics applications in the selected sector. Please send your proposal to Denise Valdix (valdix@european-bioplastics.org) by 31 January 2026. Based on the submissions received, we will finalise the programme and contact selected speakers with further details. We look forward to your contributions and to diving deeper into the opportunities, the diversity, and innovation of bioplastics applications. Kind regards, Denise Valdix Head of Events European Bioplastics
