Resignation of Stefan Barot as Chair and member of the Board of European Bioplastics 

Dear members, 

It is my duty to inform you that yesterday, on 6 November 2023, I received a letter from Stefan Barot (BIOTEC), in which he announced his resignation as Chair and member of the Board of EUBP. As factors compelling him to take this extraordinary step, which is to take into effect immediately, he cited personal and professional reasons. 

In an extraordinary Board meeting, which took place the very same day,  Mariagiovanna Vetere and Lars Börger confirmed their availability and willingness to step in as acting Co-Chairs to lead the association until a successor has been elected.  
 
Joining the Board, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Stefan for his time and relentless energy devoted to driving our association forward in the past year and a half, and on behalf of my team, I wish him well in his future endeavours.  

I would also like to thank Mariagiovanna and Lars for their selfless support and I look forward to continue working closely together with them and the rest of the Board.
