This webinar will explore the potential role of biodegradable/compostable plastics in helping the EU meet its organic waste recovery targets by the end of 2023. Currently, across Europe, a staggering amount of food scraps and waste are lost either to incineration or landfill.

To establish a truly circular economy, the EU needs to capture this potential by collecting and organically recycling this waste, in the most resource efficient way, using and reusing renewable raw materials and converting these to high value compost for soil enrichment.

The event will bring together bio-based and biodegradable/compostable plastics producers with a range of other actors involved in establishing a harmonised and integrated organic recycling infrastructure for the future.
