On the road to COP26
The role of Life Science in delivering climate neutrality

The Women@LifeSciences network warmly welcomes you to join our webinar.

There are now only a few weeks to go until every country in the world gathers in Glasgow, not to discuss how to avoid climate change, but to decide how to limit the damage that we are already living with and that future generations will need to tackle. The challenge: to agree on a global programme to address one of the biggest threats that humanity faces.

This Webinar, which takes place on 20 October from 10am-11h30, will feature a keynote speech by Deputy Director General Clara de la Torre from DG Climate. Ms de la Torre will highlight the EU's ambitious roadmap for a climate neutral future and the Commission's hopes and expectations for impactful outcomes from the COP26 Discussions.

This will be followed by a high level panel discussion, featuring perspectives from women who play leading roles in capturing the potential of Life Sciences to adapt to and to mitigate against the worst effects of Climate Change.

Panelists will include:

  • Shradha Abt, Energy and Climate Policy, Deputy Head of Brussels Office, EU Government Relations BASF Group
  • Sarah Hickingbottom - General Manager, New Product Development & Stakeholder Relations, Circa Group
  • Babette Pettersen - Vice President Europe, Lanzatech
  • Mariagiovanna Vetere - Global Public Affairs Director, NatureWorks
  • Sabine von Wiren Lehr - Director EU Affairs, Tetra Pak, Group

We look forward to some fascinating insights from our keynote speaker and panelist and to lively discussion with our participants.

To register please click here by end 18 October.
