Assessment conducted by nova-Institut concludes that first-generation fermentable sugar is appropriate for a sustainable raw material strategy of the European chemical industry
Nova-Institut, an independent research institute based in Germany, has carried out a sustainability study of bio-based raw materials for the chemical industry. The assessment analyses the strengths and weaknesses of sugar plants, starch plants, virgin wood as well as waste and residues for the production of bio-based chemicals.

Neste selected as the world’s 3rd most sustainable company on the “Global 100” list
Neste has placed 3rd on the “Corporate Knights 2019 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations” list. This is Neste’s second time in the top 3. It also marks the company’s 13th consecutive inclusion on the Global 100 list. Neste has been included on the list continuously for longer than any other energy company in the world.
