European Bioplastics Relocates to Brussels and welcomes New Secretary General
European Bioplastics (EUBP), the association representing the interests of the bioplastics industry in Europe, has officially relocated its main operations to Brussels. The move reinforces the organisation’s commitment to advocacy and engagement with EU institutions, as well as expanding its network and enhancing its presence within the EU policy landscape.

EBC25 call for paper – deadline approaching
The Call for Papers for the 20th European Bioplastics Conference (EBC25) will close on 14 July 2025. EBC25 will take place on 2–3 December 2025 at the Titanic Hotel Berlin – and online – bringing together key stakeholders to celebrate 20 years of innovation and collaboration in the bioplastics sector.

New EU projects launched: BE-UP, BIO4COAT, GRECO, INSOIL
EUBP is proud to be part of four new Horizon Europe R&I projects focusing on packaging and in-soil products. We thank ITENE, AIMPLAS, Novamont, and TotalEnergies Corbion for involving us in these successful applications. EUBP Talk Series Wrap-Up: Bioplastics Recycling – From Innovation to Implementation
From April to June 2025, European Bioplastics hosted a five-part EUBP Talk Series around the “Advancements in Recycling of Bioplastics”. It focused on the recycling of bioplastics and the scaling up of recycling technologies. The series offered a platform for researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore solutions, challenges, and pathways to scale up bioplastics recycling across Europe.

Renewable Materials Conference 2025
The international meeting place for the chemical, plastics and materials industry will take place from 22 to 24 September 2025 in Siegburg near Cologne. The conference will present new solutions and current innovations to replace fossil carbon with biomass, CO₂ utilisation and recycling.
