Bioplastics recycling Cluster
This section brings together knowledge and results from EU-funded research and innovation projects advancing the recycling of bioplastics and their integration into a circular economy. It highlights collaborative efforts to overcome technical, systemic, and market-related challenges across the full bioplastics value chain.
The activities presented here are part of a broader knowledge-sharing initiative led by three projects funded under the Circular Bio-Based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU): ReBioCycle, MoeBIOS, and PROSPER. Together, these projects are developing practical and scalable solutions for bioplastics recycling, covering all stages from collection and sorting to recycling processes and the manufacturing of new, high-quality products.
By aligning innovation with real-world implementation, these projects contribute to improving the recyclability of bioplastics, increasing recovery rates, and supporting the transition towards sustainable, circular bio-based materials in Europe.
