EUBP is proud to be part of four new Horizon Europe R&I projects focusing on packaging and in-soil products. We thank ITENE, AIMPLAS, Novamont, and TotalEnergies Corbion for involving us in these successful applications. A short feature on GRECO, which focuses on biobased packaging, is available on our website. A summary of the twin project of GRECO, Be-UP, led by ITENE, a new EUBP member, is available on our website. BIO4COAT focuses on diamond-like coating solutions made from bio-polyurethane, applying them to agricultural and horticultural products, as well as hygiene and textile applications. The project has recently summarised its activities in a press release.

INSOIL will focus on creating new mulch films, plant guards, and controlled-release fertilisers (CRFs). A summary of the planned work is presented here.

We will present these projects to the EUBP members during the following months. Please join us for these “Touch Bases” with excellent scientists and innovators who will share their plans and insights with EUBP Members. Be-UP is scheduled on 22 July 2025, GRECO will pitch on 23 September 2025 and INSOIL on 21 October 2025.

If you would like to join the pitches of these projects, please contact Chiara Bearzotti and Estela López-Hermoso (euprojects@european-bioplastics.org ).
