European Bioplastics Conference celebrates 10th anniversary
Save the date – 5/6 November, Berlin / Call for Papers coming soon
Berlin, 26 February 2015. The bioplastics industry will be celebrating an anniversary this year when gathering in Berlin at the Maritim proArte for the 10th edition of the European Bioplastics Conference on 5/6 November. The key focus areas of this year’s programme represent a healthy balance of product, material, and process innovations, and broader ‘state-of-the-industry’ discussions such as biobased feedstock sourcing or brand owner perspectives on bioplastics.
Alongside the conference attendees will have access to a large bioplastics product exhibition where up to 40 companies will showcase their latest innovations.
The conference is complemented by lots of social networking events around the 10th anniversary celebrations. One of the highlights this year will be the gala dinner on 5 November courtesy of Vinçotte. The Belgian certifier has teamed up with European Bioplastics to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the OK Compost certification programme and has joined the conference as a key sponsor.
As the major industry association in this field, European Bioplastics are committed to representing the interests of stakeholders along the entire value chain. The diversity of the delegation – usually 350+ strong and expected to grow – reflects that, and the trend towards a pan-industry gathering is set to continue as the event embraces the inclusion of political and other European and global non-private sector stakeholders.
For this year‘s event, registration opens in April 2015. The call for papers will be published until end of February.
