BioSupPack Specialised Trainings
The BioSupPack project offers a series of Specialised Trainings, from October 2025 until February 2026, on various aspects of biobased plastics and fibre-based packaging and their End-of-Life. The trainings are offered by the experts who have been working in the implementation of the BioSupPack. The coordination of the Specialised Trainings is led by European Bioplastics.
Participants who attend the sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion.
For Whom?
For professionals, researchers, and stakeholders interested in materials development, packaging design, and circular economy approaches in the context of biobased plastics.

21 October 2025 - Development and End of Life of rigid biobased plastic packaging
Rigid formats, such as trays, tubs, and containers, are widely used across both food and non-food applications, presenting specific opportunities and challenges when transitioning from conventional to bio-based materials.
The training is delivered by two technical experts Pedro Santana (Logoplaste Innovation Lab) and Michele Rossi (SABIOMATERIALS).
26 November 2025 - Development and End of Life of fibre based packaging
Fibre-based packaging formats are widely used across both food and non-food applications, presenting specific opportunities and challenges when transitioning from conventional to bio-based materials.
The training will be delivered by the technical expert Lorena Rodríguez (Graphic Packaging International).

21 January 2026 - Hyperspectral imaging-based method for the classification of biobased packaging
This BioSupPack Specialised Training focuses on state-of-the-art Hyperspectral Imaging Spectroscopy (HSI). HSI is utilised for the the classification and recycling of biobased packaging. This training also focuses on the monitoring device developed in the BioSupPack project.
The training will be delivered by Marina Pellegrino (IRIS Technology Solutions).
