The proceedings explore how bioplastics are moving beyond packaging into construction, textiles, consumer goods, automotive, agriculture, medical devices and hygiene applications, with contributions from various companies in the sector. The authors of each chapter have summarised the key innovative results for their respective sectors, also highlighting what remains missing and needs further investigation and innovation. The objective of the series was to explore innovative and emerging applications of bioplastics across different sectors and to foster exchange between science and industry. During the talks, outstanding researchers, organisations and companies interested in monitoring emerging innovation came together to exchange ideas and solutions in an informal setting. The webinar series has run from February until July 2026, bringing together researchers, organisations, and companies to exchange ideas and solutions.
