BIOMAC

Title: European sustainable biobased nanomaterials community

Expected Results:

BIOMAC was established an Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) ecosystem to provide a single-entry point to small and medium enterprises and industrial players of all sizes to benefit from expertise and services related to the development and use of biobased nanomaterials. The BIOMAC OITB has offered services that cover the assessment of regulation, health and safety, sustainability, circularity and market potential along with modelling, process control, standardization and characterization. All the services are accessible at fair conditions and cost.

BIOMAC has established a concrete community of open collaboration for stakeholders and customers enabling innovation and minimization of investment risks. The technologies offered by the OITB have been developed up to TRL4-5 and have been upscaled and validated at TRL 7.

A framework agreement has been establiedh between the BIOMAC partners to continue offering services for the development, testing, validation and use of biobased nanomaterials to all interested stakeholders, long-term, after the official end of the project activities. If you are interested, please contact Chiara Bearzotti euprojects@european-bioplastics.org to know more.
