European Bioplastics Innovation Award

Call for Entries: European Bioplastics Innovation Award 2026

Following a successful first edition, European Bioplastics is proud to launch the second European Bioplastics Innovation Award, recognising the most promising innovations shaping the future of bioplastics.

The award will be presented during the 21st European Bioplastics Conference (EBC26), taking place on 1–2 December 2026 in Berlin and online, bringing outstanding innovations to an international audience of industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and sustainability experts.

We invite companies, start-ups, research institutions, innovators, and emerging ventures from across the bioplastics value chain to submit their most compelling solutions.

Whether it is a breakthrough material, a scalable product application, an innovative circular solution, or a promising start-up concept, the award aims to spotlight innovations that combine technological excellence, sustainability impact, and market potential.

More than an award: The Road to EBC26

A jury of experts will shortlist the five most convincing entries.

Finalists will not only compete for the award at EBC26, but will also be featured in the European Bioplastics Innovation Spotlight Series – Road to EBC26, an online showcase running from September to November 2026.

The series offers finalists additional visibility ahead of the conference, before they present their innovation live at EBC26, where the winner will be selected by audience vote.
